IntoleranceLab is run by David and Leah Hall from a lab in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear. We have been screening hair samples since 2017. Email is the fastest way to reach us, and it reaches a person rather than a queue.
We aim to reply within one working day. If you are chasing results, please include the name the order was placed under and roughly when you ordered — it saves a round trip.
Where to send your sample
There is no kit — you post your sample yourself. Put 9 or 10 strands of hair (a few cm) in an ordinary envelope and send it with standard UK postage to the registered office address below. Samples can also be handed in at the Business Centre reception.

We can answer questions about orders, samples, turnaround times, and what a screening report does and does not show. We cannot give medical advice, and would not want to — our screen is not a medical test and does not produce a clinical finding.
If your symptoms are persistent, severe or getting worse, if you are losing weight without meaning to, or if you notice blood, please speak to a GP rather than to us. Swelling of the lips, mouth or throat, or difficulty breathing, is a medical emergency — call 999.
Refunds and complaints
Our terms are on the refunds and returns page. If something has gone wrong with an order, email us first — most problems are quicker to fix directly than through a payment provider.
